1946 Sweden 2 Ore Special Collector Prooflike Issue PCGS PR65

from the John Jay Pittman collection (David Akers 1997-1999)

Sweden did not mint proof coins at this time, but did strike special prooflike coins from fresh dies. They distributed these in limited quantities in annual sets to collectors.

PCGS has apparently chosen to use the PR designation to distinguish them from routine business strikes.

This coin is currently the only one of its kind encapsulated by PCGS (Population 1/0).
