Agreement

By using this site or participating in any communication or transaction with Aurora Rarities LLC you agree to be bound by Aurora Rarities LLC policies.

Storefront

Aurora Rarities LLC is an internet based rare coin business. Aurora Rarities LLC does not operate a retail storefront. All coins are stored in bank vaults.

We believe in building relationships and are available online as well as in person at coin shows and events to assist our clients and colleagues.

Guarantee of Authenticity

Numismatics is a wonderful hobby inhabited primarily by knowledgeable and helpful people who enjoy the hobby as much as you and I do. However, in recent years forgers have made the hobby, especially online, something of a minefield. Aurora Rarities LLC takes significant precautions, aided by many years of experience, to ensure that our inventory contains only authentic items.

Aurora Rarities LLC offers a lifetime guarantee that every item we sell is authentic as described. Should any item that we sold as authentic be deemed not authentic by PCGS or NGC simply submit to us the document from PCGS or NGC which identifies the item as "counterfeit", "forgery", or "not genuine" along with the Aurora Rarities LLC receipt and the item in question. Upon confirmation of these items we will refund 100% of the original purchase price to the original purchaser. For items we sell which are already certified the PCGS or NGC guarantee of authenticity applies and those companies will honor their guarantee directly.

Availability

Many of the items we offer are listed on a number of online venues and made available at local and national coin shows. On occasion, it is possible that you might order an item that was sold before the online listing could be updated. As such, all items are subject to prior sale. If an item was sold prior to receipt of your order you will be notified and a full refund will be issued.

Payment

Payment is due in full prior to shipment or delivery. All items remain the property of Aurora Rarities LLC until payment is received in full. Payment is due within 4 days of auction close or immediately for instant purchases.

For online transactions we accept payment via ebay managed payment for items listed on ebay and via amazon for items listed on amazon. For transactions via our website and other direct sales we accept payment by wire transfer. At our discretion, we may accept checks from established clients.

At shows and other in-person events we accept cash and, at our discretion, checks from established clients.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for security or other business related reasons.

Shipping

We ship only within the USA and Canada (shipments to Canada are limited to $400 or less, other limitations may also apply). Books, and only books, ordered via our ebay store may be shipped internationally via ebay International Shipping (ebay charges you directly for international shipping, other limitations apply). Shipping within the USA is FREE. Shipping to Canada is $16.75. All shipments are sent via U.S. Postal Service and may require signature upon delivery.

International Buyers Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

We work hard to ensure your order is well packed and promptly shipped. Once shipped, USPS generally takes 3 to 10 business days to deliver your order. However, due to ongoing challenges faced by USPS beyond our control, some shipments may take as much as 20 days to arrive. If you have not received your order after 21 days please notify us and we will promptly resolve it.

Taxes and Regulatory Compliance

Aurora Rarities LLC is a Texas based business. Texas does not charge sales tax on coins or bullion. Aurora Rarities LLC therefore does not charge sales tax on any coins or bullion. Paper currency, books, supplies, and non-numismatic items are subject to sales tax if delivered within Texas. Aurora Rarities will collect and remit appropriate sales tax for such items for sales made at trade shows or directly from our website. For all sales of any products on ebay or Amazon, those companies collect and remit appropriate sales tax on our behalf for all applicable states, including Texas.

In compliance with IRS regulations, Aurora Rarities LLC will file IRS Form 8300 for any single or related cash transactions which collectively equal or exceed $10,000.

Similarly, Aurora Rarities LLC will file Form 1099-B for any single or related bullion transactions which collectively equal or exceed $10,000.

Aurora Rarities LLC collects each customer's name, verified postal address, and email address for each online transaction. Depending upon the amount and nature of a transaction we may require additional information from customers to ensure security of the transaction or to comply with laws and regulations.

Attention Minnesota Residents

The Minnesota Bullion Coin Dealers Law (Chapter 80G) became effective July 1, 2014. The statute affects coin dealers residing in Minnesota, and any coin dealers outside of Minnesota, who buy and/or sell to Minnesota consumer residents, regardless of where the transactions take place.

For several years, the costs to comply with this onerous law made it prohibitive for us to do business with Minnesota residents and we therefore did not do so.

Thanks to tireless efforts of ICTA and its members the law was revised July 1, 2016. As our sales volume is below the threshold of sales as stated in the revision, we are able to do business with Minnesota residents.

Returns

We go to great lengths to provide quality photos and accurate descriptions and anticipate that most people will be pleased when they see their purchase in hand. But we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. Should you wish to return an item please promptly notify us to request an RMA# or, in the case of ebay or amazon, follow their process for initiating a return. Then properly pack the item with the RMA# clearly marked on the outside of the package and ship the item back to us insured for the purchase price. Please note that the buyer is responsible for all costs associated with return shipping and insurance. Upon receiving the item unaltered, undamaged, and in original undamaged holder within 14 days of when you received it we will issue a full refund of the purchase price to the same account from which the purchase was made. Returns will not be accepted for any items removed from PCGS, NGC, or other third party holders nor for any altered or damaged items. Consulting, appraisal, and consignment services are non-refundable. Due to the nature of the market, bullion sales are non-refundable.

Condition

Grading of numismatic items is subjective. Aurora Rarities LLC endeavors to observe grading practices of PCGS and NGC when assigning grades to coins, tokens, and medals, but offers no warranty of any kind as to the likelihood that PCGS, NGC, or any other entity will assign the same or similar grade.

Numismatic Marketplace

The numismatic market is volatile by nature. The supply of and demand for numismatic items changes daily as collectors of thousands of different series of numismatic items enter and leave the markets for certain items. As such, Aurora Rarities LLC makes no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the future value of any item.

Privacy & Data Security

We take your privacy and the security of your Personal Information very seriously.

We collect and store Personal Information you voluntarily provide to us by using AuroraRarities.com or communicating with us via this or other venues. We will never sell your Personal Information. We use and share Personal Information we collect only to the extent necessary to execute a transaction you've initiated, to provide customer service, manage and enforce our agreements, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations. We minimize the Personal Information we collect from you and employ encryption and other reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to keep Personal Information secure. However, the nature of the Internet and computing technology is such that no method of transmission or storage of electronic data is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We adhere to the privacy and data security practices stated above in all cases, but be aware that any interactions and transactions you engage in with us via ebay or amazon are also subject to the privacy and data security practices of those companies and those companies are solely responsible for their privacy and data security practices.

Legal and Copyright

By using this site or participating in any communication or transaction with Aurora Rarities LLC you agree to be bound by Aurora Rarities LLC policies. These policies are subject to change without notice. In the event of a change or discrepancy, the policies we have posted at the AuroraRarities.com website shall govern in all cases. In the unlikely event that a dispute arises which cannot be resolved through simple discussion, Aurora Rarities LLC may seek legal recourse to protect our rights. The venue for all legal matters shall be Bexar County, Texas. All such disputes shall be handled via binding arbitration.
