One of the scarcer pieces in the Queen Anne sixpence series, this 1707 Pre Union sixpence displays heraldry of England, Ireland, France, and Scotland. Post Union pieces issued later in 1707 possess shields containing heraldic symbols of England and Scotland sharing a shield with two instance of that and separate shields for Ireland and France. Savvy collectors will note that very few of this 1707 Pre Union type in AU or above can be found in listings or auctions of the past 10 years.
